Grapevine

Described as AA’s “meeting in print,” Grapevine connects alcoholics by sharing experiences. Its purpose includes showcasing the varied experiences within AA, providing a space for members’ views (distinct from official AA policy), and serving as the voice of the AA movement, as noted by Bill W. in 1946.

  • Self-Supporting: Grapevine is funded by subscriptions and sales, not 7th Tradition contributions
  • Accountability: Its staff are primarily accountable to the broader AA movement.
  • Format: It is a monthly magazine (AA Grapevine) and a bimonthly Spanish edition (La Viña). It also publishes books, hosts podcasts and offers a digital app.
